Trying to take pictures of Avery in her birthday girl dress was ridiculous. She will smile and she will look at the camera, but she will not smile and look at the camera at the same time.
Jack loved the pool and the ocean. He is definitely my baby boy!
This isn't what it looks like. Avery was using Aunt Tina's beer can to bring water back and forth from the ocean to her sandcastle.
It was pretty hot and sunny so we ended up putting on our t-shirts to cover up by the end of the day. Avery wasn't burned at all but I didn't fare quite as well.
Jack was wonderful on the car ride there and back. He is just so calm and relaxed all the time. We thought he might grow tired of sitting in his car seat for the 6 hour drive but he didn't give us any trouble. All in all it was a wonderful trip with the family to the Texas coast. Hard to believe that a hurricane hit just 5 days later.
